Accounts

• Users must create an account and verify access before reading any chapter, including free first chapters.
• Account owners are responsible for keeping login details private and for all activity under their account.
• Admin and licensor access is role-based and may be restricted to approved users only.

Digital Reading

• The first chapter of each title may be free after registration. Remaining chapters require purchase.
• Purchased digital chapters are for personal reading only and may not be copied, shared, resold, or redistributed.
• Security controls may limit downloads, sharing, automated scraping, suspicious access, or abuse.

Payments, Print Orders, and Campaigns

• Payments are processed through Stripe or other approved payment providers.
• Physical book orders require accurate shipping details. Preorder titles may ship later than in-stock titles.
• Campaign pledges support print goals. If a campaign goal is not reached, eligible pledges may be refunded.

Content and Conduct

• Users may not attempt to bypass paywalls, reader protections, payment checks, or account security.
• Crossed Hearts may suspend access for fraud, chargeback abuse, scraping, unauthorized sharing, or harmful activity.
• All titles, artwork, logos, and site materials remain protected by copyright and related rights.

Changes

We may update these terms as the website, catalogue, payment process, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the website means you accept the updated terms.
